Cosmetologist, Esthetician, Nail Technician,or Instructor

At East Tennessee School of Cosmetology, our goal is to ensure each of our students gets the most out of their beauty program. Depending on which program you choose, there is a minimum hour requirement that you must meet in the specified fields to become licensed. Please note that each of our students, are required to wear black pants, and a black smock with any color casual dress shirt and black shoes or black scrubs with black shoes.

Beauty Programs & Required Course Hours

Cosmetologists ~ 1500 Total Hours in the State of Tennessee
- General 300 Hours, Physical 600 Hours, and Chemical 600 Hours.
- Students will complete theory course which includes, workbook, Daily assignments, and tasks.
- Students will receive hands-on training at our physical location with real clients.
- Students will learn the newest cutting techniques and styles to prepare you for the workplace.
- Students will learn how to Perm hair, Apply Color, Foiling techniques, Dermalogica Facials, Make-up, Manicures, and Pedicures.
- Students will learn how to retail, rebook appointments,

Esthetics's ~ 750 Total Hours in the State of Tennessee
- General 150 Hours, Chemical 150 Hours, and Hands-On 450 Hours.
- Students will learn : Microdermabrasion, Dermafile, Galvanic treatment, High frequency, Exfoliant treatments, Deep cleansing facials, Acne treatments, Specialized Dermalogica treatments, Waxing, Brow and Lash tinting, as well as Lash perming.
- Learn skin care, how to treat skin conditions such as Rosacea, Hyperpigmentation, and Acne just to name a few.
- Learn how to use Dermalogica products, proceedures, retail, treatment services, and skinbar.
- Learn the different techniques for facials, Acupressure, Lymph drainage, Dermalogica's core facial and other techniques to further enhan

Nail Technicians ~ 600 Total Hours in the State of Tennessee
- General 150 Hours, Chemical 100 Hours, and Hands-On 350 Hours.
- Learn about Acrylic nails, gel nails, wraps and other nail techniques
- Services include acrylic nails, fill-ins, manicures, pedicures, and common nail care.
- Students will also learn of all conditions of the nail.
- Get Creative and inspirational in Nail Artistry,

Instructor Training ~ 300 Total Hours in the State of Tennessee
- General 200 Hours and no less than 100 Hours in Lesson Planning and Motivation.
- Instructor trainees will complete training on how to instruct students.
- Now Available from the State Board in Tennessee is the Instructor Training programs which include Aesthetics & Manicurist.
